About HomePath Options

Independent. Free to homeowners. Built around one idea: when you're in a tough housing situation, you deserve a fair shot at fair options.

Why we exist

If you've been in a distressed housing situation — foreclosure, an inherited property, divorce, or a house you can't afford to fix — you've probably been getting calls and letters from "we buy houses" companies. Most are legitimate. Some aren't. None of them are working for you — they're trying to buy your house cheap.

Homeowners in these situations need someone who's not the buyer. Someone who'll help match them with vetted buyers, refer them to free counseling, and step out of the way once they have what they need to decide.

That's us.

What we believe

  • Information should be free. Homeowners shouldn't have to pay $300 for a "foreclosure consultation" or $2,000 to a "foreclosure rescue" company.
  • Selling isn't always the right answer. If a loan modification works for you, we want you to take it.
  • One vetted buyer beats ten calls. You shouldn't have to filter through ten investors. We do the vetting, you make the decision.
  • Pressure isn't service. If someone is rushing you into a decision, that's not help — that's sales pressure. We don't operate that way.

Who we work with

HomePath Options works with local real estate investors in the states we serve. They specialize in distressed-property purchases and have agreed to our fairness standards. Each county has one matched buyer — meaning when you're matched, you're not added to a list of ten investors all calling you.

We also partner with HUD-approved housing counselors across our service areas. If your situation might be solved without selling, we connect you with them first.

Legal & Compliance

HomePath Options operates under federal law (the Mortgage Assistance Relief Services Rule), state-specific real estate laws, and the consumer protection laws of each state we serve. We never charge upfront fees, we never tell homeowners to stop talking to their lenders, and we follow all disclosure requirements.

If you have a complaint or concern, please contact us directly.
